Sarajubala Devi

Her acting career began in Dakshineswar. The Empress of Acting, as Sarajubala Devi was called, used to once live in Khelat Babu Lane. Later, she bought a house in south Kolkata's Shyama Das Row. That house has been demolished. The lane next to that house - Clarke's Row - has been named after her as Sarajubala Sarani.
